Remembering Echo It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Echo, our beloved ASR dog who recently passed away at around 12 years old. Echo's life was cut short by suspected cancer, but she was fortunate to spend her final year in the loving care of a devoted ASR foster mom. Echo came into this foster home after her original adopter passed away, after 8 happy years together, leaving her without a family. ASR makes a lifetime commitment to every dog in our care, and we were thrilled when a foster offered her home and her heart to our sweet senior gal. Her new caretaker welcomed Echo with open arms, giving her a warm and comfortable place to live out her days. In that loving environment, Echo's gentle, affectionate spirit shone through, bringing joy to all who met her. Echo was a happy active senior, which made her collapse even more heartbreaking. Though Echo's time with us was cut short the memory of her happy spirit and sweet companionship will not be forgotten. We are grateful to Echo's foster mom for providing her with such a wonderful quality of life in her final chapter. Echo was a special dog who left a lasting impact on all of us, and she will be deeply missed.
