ECHO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Echo Best Guess for Breed: Corgi and terrier mix
Best Guess for Age: 7 years as of July 2026 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 13 lbs
Gets Along With: Echo does well with other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Special adoption considerations: Echo was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place.
And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.
(You may also see that his right eye looks odd in the pictures. It's shrunken and seems like it has been that way for a long time. It doesn't bother him - the vet recommendation is to leave it alone at this point)
Echo is Looking For: His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where he is a cherished part of a family. He's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog.Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace are exactly what he wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one for you? Are you his new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has spent time in foster care.
