Leona arrived at the shelter after being abandoned, and it took her a little while to feel safe. But once she realized she could trust us, her true personality started to shine. She loves sitting right next to you, almost as if she's looking for comfort and protection. It's her way of saying, "I'm trying to trust again." Leona also arrived underweight, but despite everything she's been through, she is the sweetest, most gentle girl—and absolutely gorgeous. She just needs someone willing to show her that the world can be a kind place and that she will never be abandoned again. She is a little fearful of men but she is learning to trust them again.
