Roger is with our partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter
At just 6 months old and about 40 pounds, Roger is still a baby — just one who happens to be growing into a large, lovable presence (likely around 70 pounds full grown). But don’t worry… he didn’t get the memo about being “big and intimidating.” This boy is all softness, sweetness, and “where are you going and can I come too?”
Roger’s origin story? A little mysterious. After the flood, he quite literally showed up at a rescuer’s house like, “Hi, I live here now.” And honestly… we get it. Smart move, Roger.
Since then, he’s been nothing short of amazing. He’s calm, affectionate, and gets along with everyone — dogs, kids, adults… if you have a heartbeat, Roger is your fan. He’s the kind of dog who just quietly follows you around the yard, happy to be part of the action (or the non-action).
We’re guessing he’s some sort of Great Pyrenees or Anatolian Shepherd mix — which explains his stunning white coat with brown brindle spots and his laid-back, observant vibe. He also loves the water, so if you’ve got a hose, a kiddie pool, or a beach day planned… he’s already in.
Yes, he’ll be a big dog. But he’s the kind of big that feels like a comfort, not a challenge. A total sweetheart in a fluffy, spotted package.
If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a backyard buddy, and a professional “just hanging out” companion… Roger is ready.
Apply to meet him — he’ll be right behind you anyway.
Roger is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He
has been altered and has a microchip. His
adoption fee is $600
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
