Calling all yellow lab mix lovers! Meet Andrea who was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. She even was chipped and no one came for her. Luckily, she was pulled from that shelter and came into rescue. She is a beautiful girl with a wonderful personality. At 2 years of age, she is fully grown weighing 33 pounds. She has the yellow lab coat and when you look at her face you see the lab characteristics (ignore the short floppy ears). At first, she is a bit shy when she meets a new human, but then she is all in! She gets along fine with the dogs and children. It is unknown if she has ever met a cat.Lab mixes are known for their friendliness towards people. They have more than enough affection to go around for the whole family, too. They are eager to please and good-natured. They have plenty of energy and usually like to stay active throughout their lives. They make great family companions. As a mix she will probably have a lot of these lab qualities. She is a great walking partner since she has already mastered her leash walking skills and is currently working on house and crate training. Daily walks will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. (It will also be an opportunity to find out what commands she knows). It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. A secure back yard would give her time to play and burn off extra energy. Are you willing to take on the task of helping her transition to a new life where she is once again loved and appreciated? If yes, read on.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Andrea is $500.
