Percy is officially looking for his forever family. Percy’s story started with a bit of an adventure. He was found after "breaking into" one of our volunteers’ properties in Jamul. Neighbors had spotted him wandering the trails in the hills behind the property in the days prior, and it seems he was sadly dumped there. He arrived with no collar, no microchip, and wasn't neutered (though he is now!). We think he followed his nose to the property looking for a desperately needed drink of water, drawn by the watering troughs for the resident chickens and pigs. Why We Are Obsessed With Him: The Ultimate Peacekeeper: Percy gets along with everyone. He has been introduced to chickens, pigs, cats, and other dogs, and he is incredibly easy-going and appeasing with all of them. A Certified Sweetheart: He is remarkably chill, relaxed, and amazingly calm for a young Border Collie/Lab mix. Gentle & Loving: While he can be a tiny bit wary at first—likely because someone let him down in the past—he shows absolutely zero aggression. He just wants to know he's safe.
