After wandering into his finder's yard where she kept him safe until ACO Johnson arrived, Gabe was brought to the shelter where it was discovered he was not chipped and had no ID tag to contact a family, if he had one! He remained on stray hold and no family came to claim him and now he is searching for his OWN home and yard, that he can feel safe and loved in, forever! Sweet Gabe has met a slightly similar sized neutered male since he arrived to us and approached his new friend with sniffs and a little stiff at first. With his occasional tail wag, he seemed to relax over the course of the meeting. His new friend startled him when he barked at him, but he handled it like a gentleman! Because he was a little nervous during his interaction with his new friend, meet and greets will be required with other dogs already in his potential home, prior to adoption, to ensure a great fit for all. And of course, we always recommend any children to meet and greet their potential dog siblings prior to adoption too! This sweet boy is really taking to his training and baits/lures into sit and down! Such a smart guy!!
