Hello! I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I'm a large, handsome guy and I'm hoping for a second chance at a nice life.Insights from my foster friends or adventure buddies:`Rico went on a Dog Day Out. He was very nervous at first, he was shaking when we (my 9 year-old and me) got him in the lobby. Very skittish when we walked him next to the parking lot. However he relaxed in the car pretty quickly and enjoyed a pup cup from Starbucks. When we got home he was very hesitant to get out of the car and go inside but eventually he did. We relaxed in the house with him for a while and let him get comfortable, which he increasingly did. He even got overstimulated and tried some humping, but neutering will likely help with that over time. He's a sweet dog, just needs a little time to get comfortable with his surroundings.``He was so sweet and good on walks! he refused to get into the car untill we took him for a little walk but then brought him to Franklin street and he had perfect behavior. Definitely took him some getting used to us but once he did he was so loving and smiley. We went to downtown Franklin and got him a pup cup! He was a little rough on the car, definitely needs blankets down (his claws will scratch because he stands the whole time) and something to keep him from climbing into the front but he really enjoyed the ride.`
