General Notes | Blondie is just as sweet as his name implies, bursting with that signature, happy-go-lucky puppy energy. He loves nothing more than exploring the world around him, whether he's chasing after a toy, investigating a new scent, or bounding through the grass. Once playtime is over, Blondie transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug, ready to climb into your lap and soak up all the affection you can give. As a young pup, he is a blank canvas just waiting for the right family to guide him through training and watch him grow into the loyal, spectacular companion he's destined to be! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Greetings! My name is Blondie, but you can name me whatever you want. I'm almost 5 months old and weigh about 35 lbs. I'm what you call a perfect age! My foster mommy has taught me so many skills, and I am so eager to learn more. I wonder what you'll teach me to do... hmm?I'm completely potty-trained. In fact (I don't mean to brag), I potty on command! My foster mommy says, "Go pee!"... and I DO! I sleep all night in my crate without a peep. Then, I wake up in the morning really excited about learning new stuff, right after my zoomies in the backyard so I can focus. I have learned basic commands like "sit" (especially for cheese), "come", and "wait" (at my crate door), and I am learning "down". I'm also learning what NOT to do. It's very easy to correct me because I'm super smart and learn fast. I'll look you straight in the eyes and listen to whatever you say. I hope it's okay if I follow you around the house and lie at your feet or on the couch with you, if you'll let me.People say that I'm a very, very sweet boy. I don't know about that... all I know is that I don't know how to be any other way. I get along great with other dogs. I ADORE kids and am very gentle with them, and I LOVE playing with toys and chewing up sticks. I'm good-natured and well-tempered and hope you'll come meet me! Maybe I can go home with you to live forever? Thank you for listening to me!Personality | Super sweet and happy! Story | Dumped in the rural Texas country. Taken to a small holding facility with no AC and only outdoor kennels. These babies were pulled at the last minute and are SO GRATEFUL to be in homes!Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Cats | Young enough to do well with kitties with proper intros!Children | Blondie is so sweet with every kid he's met!Training | In progress. Each foster works with their pups individually. All puppies are working on crate training, potty training, leash training, and basic commands. Leash | Good on a leash! Activity Level | Moderate/High. Typical puppy who loves to play, nap, repeat!Health Notes | Healthy and Happy :)Thank you! Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
