This adorable scruffy boy may be shy at first, but give him a little time and patience and you’ll discover one of the sweetest dogs around.Matrix is about 3 years old, around 10 lbs, and recently rescued from the overcrowded Barstow shelter, where so many wonderful, highly adoptable dogs are at risk simply because there isn’t enough space. We’re so grateful Matrix now has a safe place to wait for the forever home he deserves.When Matrix first arrived, he was understandably timid, but every day he grows a little braver. Now he happily comes up to volunteers for pets and affection, and his gentle personality is starting to shine. He does great in a playgroup with other small dogs and would thrive in a calm, quieter home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace.Because of his small size, Matrix doesn’t need a ton of exercise, but he’d love leisurely walks around the neighborhood or tagging along for daily adventures.
