WATCH MY VIDEO...Some dogs walk into your life and instantly make you smile. Malory is one of those dogs. This adorable 9-month-old black-and-white Dachshund mix came to us from another shelter, so her past is a mystery. What we do know is that her future is full of promise. Since arriving here, Malory has captured the hearts of staff and volunteers with her sweet nature, goofy personality, and joyful spirit. Malory is a delightful mix of puppy curiosity and gentle sensitivity. She loves life and wants to be part of the fun, but she can also be a little shy and unsure of herself in new situations. Give her a little patience and a few tasty treats, and you'll quickly see her confidence begin to bloom. Everyone who meets Malory comments on what a sweet girl she is. She loves being petted, enjoys affection, and happily comes when called. She likes toys, enjoys exploring, and has the playful energy you'd expect from a young dog. Her silly moments and happy little antics are guaranteed to bring laughter and smiles to her future family. Malory is also treat-motivated, which will help her continue building confidence and learning new things. She generally walks well on a leash, though there are times when her nervous side appears and she needs a little reassurance. Because she's still learning who her people are and gaining confidence in the world around her, we recommend that her adopters use a secure harness while she settles into her new home. The best thing about Malory isn't her adorable face or her playful personality. It's her heart. Beneath her shy moments is a loving, affectionate little dog who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. Malory is ready for a home where she can continue growing into the confident, happy dog she's meant to be. If you're looking for a sweet companion who will reward your patience with endless love, laughter, and loyalty, Malory may be the perfect match. Sometimes the best things in life come in small packages, and Malory is proof of that.
