Meet Mike, the sweet, thoughtful puppy who's equal parts adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and enthusiastic gardening assistant.Mike has a calm, easygoing personality with just the right amount of puppy playfulness mixed in. He's curious about the world around him and enjoys taking it all in, but he isn't the type to drag you down the street chasing every bunny or squirrel he sees. He walks nicely on leash and is happy exploring at your pace. This handsome boy is settling beautifully into foster life. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, is making steady progress with potty training, and quickly figured out how to use the doggie door. Like any young puppy, he's still learning, but he's improving a little more every day with consistency and encouragement.Mike is food motivated, enjoys a tasty treat, and never turns down an opportunity for snuggles. He's also been hard at work helping around the yard—or at least he thinks he is! Whether he's inspecting mulch, pointing out "problem areas" in the garden, or proudly carrying sticks for the compost pile, Mike always wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's currently learning the basics like sit, stay, down, and how to relax in the house. With his gentle temperament, eagerness to learn, and lovable personality, Mike is well on his way to becoming an incredible family companion. If you're looking for a sweet puppy who's happy to join you on your daily adventures, lend a paw in the garden, and curl up beside you at the end of the day, Mike is ready to grow up by your side. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
