Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat) • 6 Years 1 Month • Male • Small
Seattle, WA
Rescue ID: A610379
Animal Information: Pickles was listed as a 2-year-old male Chihuahua mix that was overweight at 15 lbs. Pickles' owner passed away and he was surrendered to the shelter with a small pack of dogs. The shelter staff are big fans -- apparently Pickles is a dilly big deal! He is affectionate and friendly with everyone he meets, and other than being a little overweight, he doesn't seem to have any quirks to work on.
Foster Profile: We quickly realized Pickles was actually about 6 years old, he needed a dental, and to loose some weight. Luckily he is getting in lots of good walks with his foster mama, and just weighed in at 11.9lbs as of 7/17. He is still working on his bikini bod, but with continued exersize and a good quality diet, the weight will continue to come off. Pickles lives with other dogs and cats and gets along well with everyone. He might give a grumble if someone tries to steal the lap he is on, but is easily corrected with a verbal "no". Pickles would do well in almost any home, as an only pet or with other canine and/or feline companions. He is a lap dog through and through.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
