Marshall is a calm yet alert pup, with a steady temperament that makes him easy to train and handle. His intelligence shines through in his quick learning and eagerness to please, while his protective instincts mean he’s always ready to guard his people. Whether he’s sitting proudly by the door or trotting beside you on a walk, Marshall’s demeanor is both dignified and approachable.
Marshall’s coat is thick and weather-resistant, a trait inherited from his breed’s working heritage. His coat color — a rich, balanced shade of black and tan — complements his broad shoulders and well-muscled frame. His ears are upright and attentive, and his tail is a constant indicator of his mood, wagging with joy and held high when he’s alert.
As a German Shepherd, Marshall benefits from the breed’s high trainability and versatility. He’s capable of excelling in obedience, agility, and even service work, but he’s equally at home as a loving family pet. His loyalty is unwavering, and he forms strong bonds with both children and adults.
Marshall’s name reflects his commanding presence — a nod to the “marshal” who leads and protects. In the home, he’s a gentle giant who enjoys playtime, training sessions, and quiet moments by your side. Outside, he’s ready for adventures, whether it’s exploring trails or learning new commands.
The name “Marshall” evokes leadership and authority, qualities that align perfectly with the German Shepherd’s role as a protector and working partner. It’s a name that’s easy to call, memorable, and fitting for a dog who’s destined to be both a loyal friend and a capable guardian.
Marshall is more than just a puppy — he’s a symbol of the breed’s enduring legacy, combining strength, intelligence, and heart in one remarkable companion.
New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer-based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....and we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs
please email
Murphy@NewBeginningsRescue.com and put Request for Adoption Application in the subject line. If you don't hear from us in 3 days, please send us a gentle reminder and one of us will get right on it.
Please indicate the dog you are interested in meeting, where it says preference on the application! You may also email julie@newbeginningsrescue.com , we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
If you give them your heart, they will give you theirs.
