Personality, Breed Info & Expectations
Moka is a happy, playful young girl with the fun-loving personality Jack Russell mixes are known for. At only 8 months old, she is still very much a puppy — curious, energetic, affectionate, and eager to explore the world around her.
She enjoys companionship, interaction, and staying close to her people while also loving playtime and activity. Moka gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a home where she can continue socializing, learning, and being included as part of everyday life.
As a Jack Russell Terrier mix, Moka may show traits such as:
Intelligence and curiosity
Playful and energetic personality
Strong attachment to her people
Alertness and engagement
A need for activity and mental stimulation
Jack Russell Terrier mixes are often incredibly loving and entertaining companions, but they also require structure, consistency, exercise, and continued training to help them mature into balanced adult dogs.
Moka would thrive in a home prepared for:
Daily walks and exercise
Ongoing puppy training and supervision
Positive socialization and engagement
Mental stimulation and enrichment
Structure, consistency, and routine
A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being
Young dogs require significant time, patience, training, supervision, and financial commitment as they continue growing and developing.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Many rescue puppies and young dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even at 8 months old, Moka is still learning and developing emotionally and socially.
Young dogs are not automatically trained simply because they are older puppies. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue training and guidance after adoption.
Adopting a young dog means being prepared for:
Potty training reinforcement and accidents
Teething and chewing behaviors
Leash training and obedience work
Jumping and playful puppy behavior
Continued socialization and confidence-building
Daily exercise, structure, and supervision
Routine veterinary care and vaccine boosters
Financial commitment throughout the dog’s lifetime
Moka will benefit from:
Positive reinforcement training
Daily structure and routine
Continued socialization and exposure
Exercise and mental stimulation
Patience, consistency, and supervision
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 days to decompress
3 weeks to learn your routine
3 months to fully feel at home
With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Moka blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life.
Moka will need:
Daily walks, exercise, and interaction
Continued training and guidance
Routine veterinary visits and future vaccine boosters
Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
Proper nutrition and weight management
Mental stimulation and enrichment
A safe, stable, indoor living environment
Because Moka is still a young dog, consistency and structure are especially important in helping her mature into a confident and well-balanced adult dog.
Moka is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
