Newman – Curious, Shy and Learning Newman is a Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 33 pounds with striking coat markings and an endearing little snort that adds to his charm. This 10-month-old pup is still building confidence but has already shown himself to be gentle, curious, and eager to learn. Thoughtful young explorer: Newman pulls mildly on leash though he may pull moderately on leash at times to check out some spots. He enjoys sniffing adventures and likes investigating new smells at his own pace. Eager to learn: Highly treat motivated, Newman takes treats gently. While he’s still learning “sit,” he has already excelled at “touch” and happily follows treat lures during training sessions. Quietly affectionate: Newman prefers to stay close to his person and is gradually becoming more comfortable with pets as trust grows. Newman may do well with appropriately matched dogs though he may do best as a solo pet with patient adopters who can help him continue learning and gaining confidence.
