Meet Samir: professional toy tester, part-time lap dog, and full-time goofball.Samir is a big puppy with an even bigger heart—and absolutely no awareness of his own size. Personal space? Never heard of it. If you're sitting down, he assumes you're available for cuddles. If you're standing up, he assumes you're available for kisses. This happy-go-lucky guy is still learning his manners and polishing up his puppy skills. He already knows "sit," and he's working hard on his leash walking, though sometimes his enthusiasm gets the better of him. After all, there are so many exciting things to see! When he's not busy collecting back scratches (his favorite currency), Samir can usually be found carrying around toys, looking for a playmate, or simply hanging out with his favorite humans. He's the kind of dog who wakes up every day convinced it's going to be the best day ever—and he wants you to join him for the adventure. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who will keep you laughing, shower you with affection, and happily grow up by your side, Samir might just be your perfect match. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
