Lefty started life on the streets of San Antonio, was rescued, adopted, then surrendered and confirmed neglected by our vet. We welcomed him into our home in early 2026, and watched him blossom through months of love and guided training. It breaks our hearts, but our other dogs and Lefty just can’t share a home and he deserves to be someone’s whole world. Lefty is cuddly, loyal, and full of quirky charm. He’s totally relaxed with other dogs on walks and at the dog park, but has sleep startle — meaning he reacts if other dogs approach him while resting at home. He needs to be the only dog in the household.
