Meet Posey (AL), the 5.5pound sunbeam who lives like a tiny dog with a very big agenda. Born on March 13, 2026, she has already mastered the art of joyful living. She adores her playpen, treating it like her own studio apartment, and she sprints between her toys and her crate for selfscheduled naps with the confidence of someone who knows exactly what she wants. She potties on her pad, but now that she’s discovered the magic of outdoor potties, she’s decided that’s her preferred venue. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate in the bedroom with the rest of the pack, offering nothing but peaceful snores and zero drama. Her days are filled with copying everything the big dog does—sometimes accurately, sometimes enthusiastically—and laying in the sun like she’s recharging her internal joy battery. She hangs out in her playpen without a hint of FOMO because she already knows she’s included in everything that matters. City noises don’t faze her in the slightest. Helicopters, lawnmowers, vacuums, kids playing basketball, full home construction—Posey has heard it all and responded with complete serenity. Even the resident cat has failed to register as a concern. She either hasn’t noticed or has decided it’s simply not her business. As for her breed, she has no idea, and honestly, she’s not worried about it. What she does know is that her spirit is huge, her confidence is growing, and her future family is going to be very lucky to have her. If you’re looking for a tiny, sunny, selfassured sidekick who brings calm, comedy, and cuteness in equal measure, Posey is your girl. Apply to adopt Posey (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
