Meet Indy — A Sweet, Vocal, Young GSD Looking for Room to Run and a Family to Help Her ShineIndy is a bright, loving 1‑year‑old German Shepherd who came to us after her owner realized she deserved more space to run, play, and grow. She’s everything people adore about the breed — expressive, loyal, vocal, and incredibly sweet.Indy has lived with dogs before, but because she didn’t grow up around many, she can feel unsure when meeting new canine friends. She wants to be social, she just needs guidance and confidence‑building. For that reason, a home with friendly doggie neighbors rather than doggie siblings will be the best fit while she continues to learn. We’re also looking for someone with GSD experience, someone who understands the breed’s sensitivity, intelligence, and need for structure, and who can help Indy grow into the dog we know she can be.She’s doing well here, but like any young, active dog — especially a shepherd — she doesn’t belong in a shelter. Indy thrives on connection, routine, and having her people close. She’s ready for a home where she can stretch her legs, use her big shepherd brain, and be loved the way she deserves.Indy is waiting for the person who will help her feel safe, confident, and understood. If you’re ready to guide a sweet, eager young GSD into her best self, Indy is ready to meet you. Please note: this pet is not yet spayed/neutered. Their surgery is planned for 4/23/26 and will be completed before adoption finalization.Indy's adoption fee is $87, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.
