Meet Poppy, a sweet girl that is ready to plant some roots and grow into your heart. Poppy is a 1 year and 2-month-old black short haired Labrador Retriever mix. Poppy is currently a 47-pound bundle of sunshine. She is likely to fill out a bit but is expected to stay a perfect medium size sidekick.Poppy is that best of both worlds type of gal. She has young dog energy, always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. Once her wiggles are out, she transforms into a professional cuddler. If there is a spot on the couch next to you, Poppy will find it! Poppy enjoys the company of other dogs and children. Poppy has not been introduced to any cats, so it is not known how she will be with them. Poppy is a young, smart girl that is currently working on her house, leash and crate training. Because she is learning the ropes, a patient hand and a consistent routine will help her blossom into her perfect self. Poppy would thrive with an active family that can keep up with her zest for life. She would do wonderfully with a fenced in yard or owners who love long walks and adventures. Daily exercise and mental stimulations are keys to her heart. If you are looking for a playful, loyal and affectionate companion to grow with your family, Poppy is your girl! * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Poppy is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
