If you have never heard of a Plott Hound, say hello to lovely Normadeen, a Plott Hound/mixed breed 1 year old girl who is ready to become a great family pet and loyal companion to a loving family. The Plott Hound is the state dog of North Carolina, known for its curiosity and high spirits, which go along with an extraordinary scent sense and zest for adventure. Normadeen also brings with her a playful personality and eagerness to romp around outside and make friends wherever she goes. Normadeen weighs 39 pounds and is estimated to be a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) as she may grow a bit more. Dogs and children delight her. It is not known if Normadeen is delighted by cats.Normadeen is learning all about house training and leash rules. It is important to remember that rescue dogs may have accidents as they transition to a new home. If crate training is planned, Normadeen requires a crate that is big enough for her to turn around, stand in and lie down. Crates need to be warm welcoming places and must never be used for punishment. Normadeen is looking for a forever home that will let her explore her new world, get some exercise, use her great nose to sniff out adventure and friends, and then snuggle up with her forever family.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Normadeen is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
