Bonded Besties: Yoda & Jabba
Available Pending Vet Check
Let’s face it—there’s nothing sweeter or purer than the love between a bonded pair of pugs. Yoda and Jabba are 5‑year‑old bonded male pugs who were relinquished to Pug Nation when their elderly caretaker passed. Whoever is lucky enough to welcome these boys into their home and help shepherd them into their next chapter will be incredibly blessed to witness their sweet, silly bond.
Though bonded, Yoda and Jabba each bring their own unique personalities that complement one another perfectly. Jabba (fawn) is the confident, curious explorer—scoping things out and “reporting back” to Yoda, who is more reserved and happy to follow his brother’s lead. They love cuddling with their people but are just as content curling up together in a cozy bed. One of their favorite activities? A rambunctious game of tug‑of‑war—more than one stuffie has fallen victim to their WWE‑style smackdowns.
In their foster home, the boys have been respectful and gentle with the resident senior pugs. During their journey across the country with other Pug Nation dogs, they proved themselves to be true peacekeepers—just all‑around good guys. They haven’t yet been cat‑tested on the East Coast and haven’t been around large dogs here, but we suspect Jabba would want to play while Yoda would sit back and observe the chaos.
It’s clear these boys were well loved in their former life. They are sweet, gentle souls and would do well in a home with respectful children. Jabba may need some encouragement to head outside for potty time, while Yoda does a great job letting his people know when it’s time to go. Jabba is the more athletic of the two—he can leap up stairs with ease and has even attempted to knock over a trash can or two! Yoda has a few extra pounds to lose but is active and manages stairs just fine. He may need a boost onto the couch, but once he’s there, he’s all about cuddle time. Yoda is a certified lover boy who happily gives kisses to humans and fellow pugs alike—just look at that face!
The boys were seen by the vet during their stay with Pug Rescue LA where they were treated for some skin and ear infections, Jabba had a neuter and dental and Yoda was put on a diet. They will have a visit with our vet next week and will be ready to go. We do not anticipate any issues.
While they aren’t currently crated in their foster home, Yoda and Jabba are crate‑savvy from their time in LA and their cross‑country adventure. A crate would be perfectly fine for safety or potty‑training support. They are also excellent on leash, ride well in the car, and know basic commands like sit, stay, and come—more proof they were cherished by their former humans.
From their foster mom:
“Yoda and Jabba would make a wonderful addition to a couple or a family with children. They are friendly, outgoing, and love being close to their humans. They enjoy daily playtime and, once Jabba gets outside, love sniffing everything! A fenced‑in yard is a must—Jabba is fast, and Yoda would happily wander off following his nose. They are big cuddlers and sleep in bed with us, so their forever family should be okay with couch and bed privileges.”
