Cha Cha | 6-month-old Chihuahua mix | Tiny speed demon with a hug obsession
Cha Cha is a 6-month-old, 13-pound cream-colored Chihuahua mix who packs a whole lot of personality into a tiny, speedy body. This girl is FAST—possibly the fastest foster her family has ever had—and loves to zip around the yard in joyful bursts before crashing into classic puppy mode: go-go-go, then sleep-sleep-sleep. She’s playful, sweet, affectionate, and absolutely lives for giving hugs and kisses. If you’re sitting down, don’t be surprised if her little head pops up between your legs asking to be picked up for some snuggle time.
Cha Cha does wonderfully with other dogs and would especially love a home with a playful pup who enjoys wrestling and being silly. She’s had positive interactions with every dog she’s met and even ignores cats. While she hasn’t met children yet, her gentle, loving nature suggests she’d do just fine with kids of all ages. She has no preference when it comes to people—she loves everyone equally.
She’s still working on her training, including house manners and leash skills. She may not have had much leash experience before, but she’s already off to a great start—she doesn’t pull or react, just moves in her own silly, zig-zagging way. With a little consistency, she’ll pick things up quickly—she’s a smart girl, especially when food, toys, or affection are involved. She’s not currently crate trained, but she happily hops into one for meals without any fuss.
Cha Cha has done great when left home alone for 4–6 hours with other dogs around and has proven to be a perfect, non-destructive angel. She enjoys toys, especially stuffed ones she can carry around, and loves chewing on bones. Her energy level is a nice balance—she’ll benefit from regular playtime and activity, but she doesn’t need extreme exercise to be happy.
Cha Cha was surrendered when her previous home’s older dog wasn’t a fan of her puppy energy, but she’s ready to bring that joyful spirit into a home that will embrace it. With a little continued training and a lot of love, she’s going to make an incredibly fun and devoted companion.
