Animal Information: Leni is a 8-pound, curly-coated sweetheart who came into the Stanislaus Shelter after being found wandering the streets by a good Samaritan. Estimated to be around 5 years old, she was never claimed and sadly became at risk in an overcrowded shelter. She is friendly and affectionate with people and great with other dogs. We can't wait to help her start her next chapter in the PNW!
Foster Profile: Leni is finally ready for adoption following her arrival in the PNW and a rough case of kennel cough. She's back to a healthy weight and functioning like a healthy, happy girl now.
Leni is friendly with strangers, often asking to be picked up. Good on leash, crate trained, and loves being by her people. While she gets along with other dogs, she prefers her people and would be happy soaking up all the attention herself. Leni is working through her protectiveness of her “person” and will benefit from clear boundaries if other dogs are in the home. She is learning the ropes of potty training and is getting a hang of it with a set schedule. Leni is looking for a quiet life sitting on the lap of her people and is very low energy. If you spend your days slow and quiet, Leni would love to join you.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
