URGENT: Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Needed for Kaya Kaya is about 4 years old, around 105lbs, a gentle giant who is incredibly sweet, calm, and loving. She was rescued from the NYCACC last summer, after being being found as a stray. She’s mellow and cuddly at home and playful and athletic outside. She loves people, is great with dogs, and has been wonderful with kids. She is super interested in squirrels outside but is trained on a halti; no guarding or behavioral issues. She is not yet spayed, but will be, in our care!Her owner loves her deeply and has done everything right for her, but a sudden family situation (a young child with asthma and dog allergies moving in) means he urgently needs help placing her. He does NOT want her going back to the shelter.Kaya deserves a soft landing - whether that’s a foster or foster-to-adopt home. If you’ve been thinking about welcoming a new dog home and love big breeds, this is an amazing, easy dog!
