Kenai is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who is basically speedrunning the Shelter’s Shy Dog Program. What usually takes time, Kenai has tackled with impressive confidence—he’s just about ready to graduate and start his next chapter in a home of his own! He’s a friendly, affectionate boy who enjoys being around people. He does well with adults and tends to politely ignore kids. Kenai already has a great foundation of manners. He knows sit and down, takes treats gently, and according to his previous family. He walks fairly well on leash with just a little pulling here and there—mostly because he’s excited to explore the world.This active guy loves attention, toys, and especially stuffed animals and bones. He’s also a fan of car rides, so he’ll happily be your co-pilot on any adventure. One of his favorite ways to show affection is by putting his paws in your lap, as if to say, “I’m yours now.” Kenai is a sweet, playful dog with a lot of love to give, and he’s more than ready to trade shelter life for a forever home!
