This beautiful boy was a well-known stray in the area for many months. He was (and still is) skittish and leery of humans, but he's starting to warm up to the idea and is getting more confident every day! He'll need a patient family to help him learn how to be comfortable. A fenced-in yard or constant leash/tie out is absolutely mandatory for this wandering escape artist! He does not like being indoors, and given his previous circumstances, even being inside for 5 minutes, he was trying to get uo to the window, and whining. Inside is not comfortable for him, so bouts of inside time in small increments would be best to help him adjust. He does not eat his food is someone is watching him, he prefers his solitude when dining. He is not much of a treat boy, and doesn't seem to play with toys, although he will take toys out of his kennel and bring them to his outdoor kennel. He has a raspy, old man bark, and trust me, he notices things that you may not. He will bark at birds, squirrels, or other people walking by on the property. He is sweet, he just needs someone gentle natured, patient and willing to show him that life can be pretty great. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
