Peanut is a handsome, healthy 1-year-old, 53 pounder with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. Recently neutered, he’s a sweet, affectionate boy who truly just wants to please and be part of a family. Peanut is crate trained and mostly potty trained. He walks well on a leash, knows basic commands like sit and come (and sometimes stay), and absolutely loves playing fetch. He’s very food-motivated—apple slices are a favorite—which makes him highly trainable and eager to learn. Peanut enjoys toys of all kinds, especially durable chew toys, and he likes playing with other dogs. He would likely do best with a calm, mellow canine companion, as highly energetic dogs can sometimes amp up his excitement. Because of his size and exuberance, Peanut would do best in a home: • With a fenced yard where he can safely run and play • With an experienced dog owner who understands large, adolescent dogs • Without young children, as he may accidentally knock them over when excited. Team Peanut is covering his adoption fee and will provide a crate, leash, halter, and toys to help him transition into his forever home.
