Foxy is a complex lady who is looking for a rescue placement, or an experienced owner who can help her with her touch sensitivity, defensive behaviors, fear and anxiety. We think that Foxy's behavior is rooted in undersocialization and fear, but we are working on trying to see if maybe she has some pain or discomfort in her hind end that is contributing to her defensiveness. Previous homes have reported that Foxy does not do well with small animals, and has been snappy with touch, making routine care like bathing, nail trims or just overall health checks difficult. We think that transfer to rescue group with resources to invest in Foxy's care and growth would be a great transition for her before she finds permanent placement, but she might also do well with an experienced owner in a quiet household--no kiddos please! She has shown similar defensive behavior when other dogs get into her space, but we think she might be open to a respectful, confident doggie sibling, along with decompression and management.
