Hi… I’m Fiona Here is a little info about me:Breed: Jindo mixAge: 4.5 yearsGender: Female Weight: 32 lb Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, affectionate, calmI’ve had a bit of a tough start. I spent a few years tied up outside a factory, and then waited a long time in boarding for someone to choose me. But I haven’t given up—I know my forever family is out there.I can be a little shy when we first meet, but if you’re gentle (and maybe have a treat or two), I’ll warm up. Once I trust you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly—that’s my way of saying I feel safe with you.I’m a quiet, calm girl. I don’t bark much, and I really enjoy peaceful environments. I get along well with other dogs, but I prefer calm companions over high-energy ones. I’m more of a “let’s coexist” type than a “let’s play all day” type.On walks, I enjoy exploring and might pull a little at first, especially somewhere new—but I settle quickly and love being outside. At home, I’m relaxed and happy to just rest near you.I’m curious about cats but listen well to my handler. I haven’t shown any aggression, and I don’t get anxious when left alone. I’m still learning house training, but I’m a smart girl and ready to learn with a little patience. All I really want is a calm, loving home where I can finally feel safe and be someone’s companion. If you give me a chance, I promise I’ll quietly steal your heart. I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnsureKids: UnsureEnergy level: I have a moderate energy level. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Please be paitient and prepare to assist me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
