Meet Emmit!
Please read my bio thoroughly
Emmit is an 8.5-pound neutered Yorkie born around September 4, 2024, who is searching for the right forever home. Since coming into rescue, Emmit has been adopted three times and returned each time because he forms an intense attachment to one person and struggles to accept others. Each family has said he is a wonderful lap dog, but if he gets overstimulated due to other people being around, he will bite.
Emmit is not the kind of dog who loves everyone he meets. He needs an experienced adopter who understands that trust must be earned. Once Emmit chooses his person, however, he is incredibly devoted and wants nothing more than to be in their lap or by their side. He forms an exceptionally strong bond with one person and prefers to keep that person all to himself, which can lead to possessive behavior around others.
Because of this, Emmit's ideal home is with a single adult where he can be the only pet. He is not a good fit for homes with children or other animals.
If there is a time where other people are over, Emmit needs to be put away and kenneled to prevent any accidents.
For the right person, Emmit is a loyal, affectionate companion who will be your constant shadow. He isn't looking for a house full of visitors or a busy family—he's looking for one person to call his own.
Emmit's adoption fee is $500, which includes his neuter, current vaccines, microchip, 4dx negative, proheart 12, and bravecto.
