Meet Roma Tomato
Roma Tomato is an 11 week old, 7-8 lb puppy with the perfect blend of sweetness, charm, and just the right amount of playful spunk. He was born to Mama Tomato, an 11 lb Chiweenie, on January 1st and is the last of his litter to be adopted - though we don't know why, because he's the best! He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be wherever the action is — whether that’s following you around the house, hanging out with kids, or curling up for cozy couch snuggles.
Daily Life
Roma starts his day around 7am with a potty break, then happily shadows his foster mom through the morning routine (he’s a loyal little sidekick). After school drop off, he enjoys breakfast followed by another potty break. During the day, he relaxes in his play pen while the family is out.
In the afternoon, Roma is ready for fun — playing outside, spending time with the kids, or simply being part of whatever is going on. Evenings include dinner with the family, playtime (including visits with the neighbor dog), and lots of snuggles before settling into his crate around 10pm, where he sleeps peacefully through the night.
Roma thrives on companionship and would much rather be with people or another dog than alone.
Personality
When Roma first arrives somewhere new, he may be a little shy and clingy, but he warms up quickly and grows more confident every day. Once he’s comfortable, his personality really shines.
He is incredibly affectionate and loves being held — he’ll even ask to be carried in a puppy sling. He’s a total snuggler who will happily curl up in your lap or perch on your shoulder like a tiny best friend.
Roma is also wonderfully silly and entertaining. He loves tossing toys around, chasing them, and even playing with his reflection in the mirror. He’s curious, gentle, and very people oriented, often checking in and staying close to his humans.
Social Life
Roma lives with two cats and has learned to respectfully coexist with them. He initially tried to play, but quickly understood their boundaries and now gives them space.
He does great with kids (ages 8 to 14) and enjoys being part of their daily activities. He also enjoys playtime with the neighbor dog.
Energy Level
Roma is a great medium energy pup. He has playful puppy moments, but also settles nicely and enjoys relaxing with his family.
Training & Manners
Roma is doing very well with potty training. He uses pee pads consistently when in his play pen and is learning to go outside when prompted. He’s starting to communicate when he needs to go, which is a big win at his age.
He is very eager to please and highly treat motivated, making training both easy and enjoyable.
He enjoys chew toys and bones, and has not shown destructive behavior. He may whine briefly when left alone, but settles quickly — especially with a toy or chew.
Ideal Home
Roma would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people. Whether it’s an active family who wants an adventure companion, a home with another dog who wants a buddy, or someone looking for a pup to bring along on errands during the day, Roma will fit right in.
He could even make a great office buddy thanks to his friendly, adaptable, and easygoing nature.
Why Roma Tomato?
Roma is the full package — affectionate, gentle, playful, and incredibly charming. He has a natural ability to connect with people and brings warmth and joy wherever he goes.
And if you’re wondering how he gets his way… it’s the head tilt and those irresistible puppy eyes. It works every time.
If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and delightfully entertaining companion, Roma Tomato might just be your perfect match.
