About Stella
We have had our 5 year old XL American Bully, Stella, since she was a puppy. She has done very well until she turned about 4. At this age, she tore both of her ACL’s and ended up needing multiple surgeries (4 in 11 months) to repair them completely. She is now healed and as healthy as ever (up to date on all immunizations, medical appointments, heart guard, etc) and as playful as ever.
However, since these surgeries, she has become aggressive towards our older German shepherd that she has been around her entire life. To remedy this and try to make it work, the owners have worked on obedience training including sending her to a month long boarding training through Art of the Dog Canine Training. She is very obedient now and utilizes an E-Collar all the time and a muzzle when on walks. Stella does do well with their young son, who is 1-year-old She is the biggest teddy bear with humans, is a huge goofball and has a good heart. She does have some allergies and currently takes APOQUEL and Benadryl daily.
But, she can’t around other dogs.
Any help/guidance/assistance you can provide would be VERY much so appreciated. This is a very difficult process for our family and we truly just don’t know where to go. We have reached out to everyone we know and a shelter is not something we have been able to bring ourselves to do.
