Joyful day to you. My name is LOOLA (Lola), and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Husky mixAge: 8 months approxGender: FemaleWeight: 26.5 lbsCountry of origin: MexicoHighlight(s): Playful, intelligent, affectionate, eager to learn, socialI’m a friendly and curious puppy who loves learning new things and meeting people. I enjoy playtime, cuddles, and exploring my world with confidence. Seriously, how can you say no to my cute little face?Born on the streets of Mexico, I was the only surviving puppy from my mother's litter. Life on the streets was tough. Luckily, my mom, Nieve (also posted) and I were rescued. Now I live in a safe home environment. Here, I’ve been learning routines, basic training, and positive social behaviors, and I am adapting beautifully to home life.Being intelligent, and eager to learn should make training much easier. I am friendly, playful and affectionate. I am very social with people and enjoy visitors, always ready for some fun and attention. I am friendly and playful with other dogs and am house-trained. I am learning leash walking and respond well to gentle guidance. As is typical puppy behavior — I may chew bedding or soft dog beds yet, so having some acceptable toys for chewing would help me to learn what is allowed to be chewed.I have opportunistic food-seeking behavior around other dogs’ meals. Not food aggressive with people or anything, but will just take advantage of taking over another's food. So, best to be fed separately to other dogs. If you ate interested in a second dog, I do great with my mama Nieve, also looking for a home, so you could get a twofer. Bit of a discount getting us both.I would thrive in a loving home with patient humans who enjoy training and play. A household that can continue guiding me with positive reinforcement and gentle structure would be ideal.Additional videos of me: https://youtu.be/phctGXhWwMY, https://youtube.com/shorts/O7jrLvzCXVY, https://youtu.be/S0tmDPUmzG0,https://youtu.be/3XKvXRJqDAw, https://youtu.be/Plvogfd0DpQ.Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: Unknown, rescuer states yes, await vidsKids: YesFears: None observed. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: Heartworm testing in process.I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.
