Meet Lulu, surely to fill your home with kisses, cuddles, and endless entertainment. Lulu is a 3-4 year old dachshund mix with a gorgeous short red coat. Lulu weighs 23.2 lbs and is working on reaching healthier weight. Lulu is a smart, observant one who's initially hesitant but incredibly sweet once she feels comfortable. She's energetic, playful, loves her toys, and is a devoted cuddler. Environment As a high-energy girlie, Lulu needs daily long walks and play sessions to stay happy and healthy. She's fully potty trained and doesn't require a fenced yard, though outdoor time for exercise is important. She loves her crate—it's her happy place! She'll do beautifully when left in a pen with her crate and bed inside. Lulu's not overly noisy, making her suitable for homes with shared walls. Lulu loves walks but will need patient adopters committed to working on her leash manners. She does well in the car, whether traveling in a crate or in booster seat. Lulu gets excited about car rides. Pets & People Lulu likes attention and cuddles once she's warmed up to someone, but she's initially more hesitant with new people. She would do best with older, considerate children. Lulu can be hesitant with strangers and may take steps back, but once she sees her people trust someone, she'll approach and interact, eventually accepting pets. Lulu barks at random sudden noises out of fear (just a couple of barks), which has occasionally woken her foster family in the middle of the night. Health & Special Needs Lulu will benefit from continued training, particularly around leash manners and confidence boosting.
