This 2-year-old, 46-pound pittie mix is remarkably full of sunshine and smiles. Davey was found tied under a freeway, and despite having a few scars, he’s remained cheerful and soaks up affection from anyone willing to give it. On a recent field trip, Davey had a nice relaxing walk along the shoreline. He showed interest in people and other dogs and remained manageable on leash and responsive to his handler. Davey is treat-motivated, already knows sit and is ready to learn more. He may get a little excited at times but can be redirected easily with a stick or toy. He would do best with adopters who will continue his training and help him channel his enthusiasm in positive ways. In shelter playgroups, he enjoys chase games with other dogs. He could do well with an appropriately matched dog in the home who loves to play with him! Davey is ready to leave his past behind and build a new future with you.
