03/18/26Lola is a 4 year old sweetheart. She has been at the shelter since January. When Lola first got here she was very scared and unsure, but Lola has opened up into an amazing dog. She used to be undecided about getting out of the kennel and would stop mid-walk, but now she is the perfect walking companion. She is eager to get out of the kennel, explore the world, and find her furrever home. Lola is still expereincing kennel stress when she isn't out on a walk. She is still being given trazodone to try and improve her quality of life. On their last check up, she had shwon improvment! She is very treat motivated, and shes polite girl so she knows to take her treats softly.If you have space in your home and in your heart, please come in to meet Lola. She has been working hard to become the perfect pet for her future family.02/06/26 17:18Meet Lola, a 4 year old grey pittie Lola is eager to be out of the shelter. She exhibits FAS level 4 in kennel (stiff body language, continouus loud alarm bark, jumping onto door, hard stare).On her most recent examination on 1/27 she was far less stressed when handled outside of kennel. Medical team was able to examine her and vaccinate her with ease without any escalation of fear, anxiety and stress. Based on her behavoiral evaluation, she is available for adoption or rescue.Lola is on trazodone to help improve quality of life while in the shelter, given her stress-level in kennel.She has been in shelter since 1/9/26. Lola does have a bite history prior to intake per notes from field staff, skin was *not* broken. No further notes available on nature of bite (provoked/unprovoked).Needs rescue due to kennel/barrier associated stress and placing needs rescue plea to avoid behavioral decompensation with prolonged shelter stay.04/14/26What did we do on todayâs adventure:I got to leave the shelter today for a fun trip to the park, where I enjoyed a slow, happy 2.5-mile stroll and sniffed everything along the way. I passed walkers, joggers, and bikers calmly and politely, just taking it all in. My friend said Iâm a very good girlâand I think I couldâve kept going if theydidnât get tired!What should potential adopters know about me:⢠Friendly and very sweet with peopleâloves attention, enjoys petting from her handler, polite with everyone we encounter during outing⢠Good loose leash walker unless she really wanted to say hi to another dog - she can pull hard and she is strong⢠Easily gets in and out of the car on her own and rides well during car trips; very treat motivated, takes treat with soft mouth and has a solid sit⢠I did not allow her to interact directly with other dogs during the outing, so Iâm not able to see her compatibility. However, she remained non-reactive to other dogs as long as we maintained a bit of distance.Three words to describe me:Calm, Affectionate, Friendly
