UPDATE!!✨ Meet Onyx. This sweet girl lost her owner and then the caregiver passed away and her and her dog pals were left to fend for themselves for atleast 6 plus months. By the time our rescue was alerted, Onyx had a litter of babies under a shed. Temps were dropping and we had to act quick. Mom and babies were pulled from under the shed and secured in foster. Sadly, mom and all babies broke with parvo. Thankfully, we were able to save all but one sweet pup. All have now healed physically and doing great. Onyx will be spayed and adoption ready next week. Onyx is a special case. While physically she has healed… mentally she still fears change and new people. She’s not aggressive in anyway but definitely a flight risk until she is comfortable. She needs a family that will give her patience and time to adjust and all the love she needs to overcome her past. She is a beautiful lab mix around 50 lbs. She is great with dogs and a sweet girl with people once her guard is let down. A calmer older house we feel would be best and easiest for this girl to adjust and show her full potential in. If you have the perfect loving home for this girl please apply below. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers.
