My name is Buggy, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador mixAge: 3 years oldGender: MaleWeight: 21 kgCountry of origin: LebanonHighlight(s): playful, affectionate, gentle, loyal, sweetI’ve lost homes, but I’ve never lost hope. I’m still here, still loving, and still waiting for my forever family.I was found as a tiny puppy with my seven siblings, hidden deep in the bushes in the middle of nowhere. Our mom was very sick with mange, weak, hungry, and terrified of humans. To protect us, she hid us high up where no one could reach us.One kind rescuer came every single day, bringing food so our mom could survive and have milk for us. Day after day, she never gave up. It took weeks for our mom to trust her, and when she finally did, she led her straight to us. That moment changed our lives forever. Our mom and all eight of us puppies were rescued, treated for mange, vaccinated, and brought to safety. For the first time, we were warm and protected. When I was about 4 months old, I was adopted. I finally knew what a home felt like… but sadly, my adopters changed their minds and returned me. A few month later, I was adopted again, only to be returned once more when my adopter became very sick and could no longer care for me.After knowing love, losing it, and hoping again, I am back in the shelter with my mom and siblings — still waiting, still dreaming of a forever home.I am a shy, gentle, and affectionate boy with a loving heart. Once I feel safe, my loyalty and sweetness truly shine. I love people, enjoy the company of other dogs, and deeply long to belong to a family that won’t give up on me.I would thrive in a loving home with patient humans who understand my past and are willing to give me time, reassurance, and unconditional love.More videos of me at 8 months old:https://youtube.com/shorts/ZOxBT8XpNK8?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/YT5O7RUf-ss?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/zoAu8JvWJ4g?feature=share https://youtu.be/noFG1KTKbHMEnergy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: Yes Fears: No. Please be patient while I adjust and learn that I am safe.Training: Basic training started; eager to continue learning with gentle guidance.Leash skills: Some — please be prepared to continue training.House trained: No — please help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: Previously treated for mange as a puppy — fully healed.I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.
