If hanging out with people and other dogs, snacking, playing, and taking walks sounds good to you, Marty would be thrilled to be your wingman. Both perky and the ideal couch companion, Marty considers every human his best friend and is as affectionate as they come. Marty especially loves to be petted; when the petting stops, he politely requests more by gently placing his paw on your hand or foot.Records show Marty had an impressive racing career. In his 90 professional races, he took first or second place an astonishing 40 times! Another amazing thing is his age. According to the calendar, Marty was born in 2017. Everyone who knows him agrees this is hard to believe! This enthusiastically energetic boy has loads of pep in his step, though he should wear booties on longer walks to protect his corn prone paws.Marty has experience as a beloved house pet. He was regretfully returned to GPI by his former family due to family circumstances. Though he was always an only pet, he has spent extended time with dog friends of various shapes and sizes. However, cats are not his thing. Marty has a couple manageable quirks. First Marty has pannus, an autoimmune eye condition which is controlled with regular eye drops. Marty also has sleep startle reactivity, which has resulted in bites when he was woken inappropriately. Because of his sleep startle Marty shouldn’t live with children.
