Meet Mathers! Mathers is a 1.5 year-old, 60-pound Lab mix with a heart as big as his smile. Found as a stray at just 2 months old, he spent much of his young life in shelters and kennels before finally getting the chance to experience life in a foster home. Mathers absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes. He's also cat-friendly and has been polite and respectful with every feline friend he's met. His foster siblings include 4 chihuhuas all under 10 lbs and 3 cats and he is the most amazing gentlemen with all of them. With people, Mathers may need a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he's an affectionate, loyal and cuddly companion who will steal your heart. The Basics: Crate trained and potty trained Walks great on a leash Has a super strong recall, place/stay, and impulse control (his foster also happens to be a trainer so he also comes with lifetime training support) Smart, eager to learn, and incredibly sweet His Ideal Home: Mathers would do best with a loving family that will continue helping him build confidence through positive experiences and socialization. A fenced yard would be wonderful because he LOVES running and rolling in the grass. A home with another friendly dog would be a huge bonus.
