SUGAR at nine years old has overcome her extreme shyness and is more willing to handle new situations.
When you’re this gorgeous, everyone expects you to be the extrovert in a group, and the life of the party. However, Sugar is an introvert, and has no interest in partying—she would be happiest as a companion to a dog that needs a friend.
Think back to your friends in high school. Sugar is that friend who was always there for you. Not pushy, not one who would give you unsolicited advice, just one who is willing to listen and be supportive, who will be there when you need to talk. A friend who accepts you as imperfect, who doesn’t compete with you, and who asks very little in return.
If Sugar were human, she would be that dependable co-worker you complain to about the work load, non-plused, and non-confrontational. She would not advise—she would just empathize. We can all use a friend like that. Maybe your dog needs a friend like that as well. Sugar can help balance out his life. She can be the stability for the party animal that needs a rock of solidity in his life.
