Lady & her pal Leo were left behind when their owner moved. Lady is a senior and a Boxer/Pug mix. The pair is going to the vet clinic to be all checked over and to get all of their needed vetting, incluidng neuter surgery for Leo. Lady is already spayed. They are both good with other dogs and formerly lived cats. 4/13 UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM: Ladybug is approximately 10 years old, she is very sweet. She is a little more independent although does like to cuddle at times. I do think she's a Puggle and her behavior supports that. She has a few lumps and bumps, and she gags as though she's going to spit something up but never does. She's done that since I've had her and I don't know what the cause is. She also snores like crazy sometimes. She's only been in a crate once and like leo, not a big fan but not as stressful as Leo. Ladybug is great loose in and has access to all rooms upstairs and down. And she's great and left alone, although she will eat napkins or Kleenex if she has access to them or access to a waste basket. She is also been known to eat her own stool, but we worked on that by giving her pumpkin. I'm going to start giving her pineapple in the next day or two also. Lady likes going for walks and with possible Beagle in her she's constantly stopping and smelling while Leo and I are standing there waiting for her. If she hears a dog barking she will start barking like crazy but if I correct her before she gets started she will usually listen. She can be stubborn. She's totally potty trained and will go to the door to go out and bark if we don't let her out right away. She's very excited to meet new people coming in the house. She also loves to play, she loves to play tug of war, she loves to chase the toy. She's really cute when you start playing and she loves it when you put your hands under the covers for her to "bite"...ha...if she gets carried away and tries to grab your hand too tightly you can correct her. She is terrified of thunder and lightning, and loud noises on the TV such as guns or bombs going off. And if I'm watching a sport and yell, and I don't mean swearing at the tv, I mean like if somebody makes a basket or it's a home run and I yell yay or they miss a basket or strikes out and I yell no she gets scared, or if I jump watching an intense program she gets scared. I have a feeling both of these dogs were a little neglected, and possibly abused. If she's outside and I see her eating her poop, and I yell at her to stop and go down on the grass she seems scared as though I'm going to hit her. Fortunately, I usually watch her and if she seems like she's going to turn around to eat it I tell her no and she does respond.
Neither one of them like vacuum cleaners.
