She loves to play, learn, and explore, and she does best when she has a positive outlet for her puppy energy—walks, playtime, training, and enrichment are right up her alley. She’s wonderful with other dogs and would likely do well with older kids. Lily truly shines once she feels safe: she’s affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. That bond just takes a little time and patience to build—especially with men, as Lily can be shy and nervous at first. With calm, consistent interactions, she warms up and gains confidence. Because Lily is a sensitive, nervous girl who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place, she must go to a home with a friendly, confident resident dog. Having a canine role model helps her feel secure, build confidence, and navigate new experiences with reassurance. What My Foster Says About Me: Lily is doing really well, such a smart, sweet, playful, loyal pup. She has gained a lot of confidence and gotten a lot comfortable with men. She is curious and likes to sniff men and even lick their hands if they don’t forcefully approach her or force themselves on her. If they just let her come first to them, she likes to say hi, come close and smell them, lick their hands. If they give her treats then she even lets them pet and touch her! Otherwise she’s getting pretty confident in other situations. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
