Then you need to meet Scarlett. She’s a gentle, tender-hearted girl who may take a moment to come out of her shell, but once she does, she’s pure magic. Scarlett is 4 years old, weighs about 36 lbs, and is listed as a Border Collie/Jindo mix. She has the softest fur and the most delicate, kind demeanor. New people and busy movement can make her nervous at first, but if you sit down, offer a few treats, and give her space, she’ll happily hop up to sit right next to you.Scarlett was originally rescued from Phuket, Thailand by Soi Dog and came to The Barking Lot. She was adopted but returned because they didn't know quite how to manage a shy dog. Scarlett will thrive in a quiet, calm home where she’s given the time she needs to feel safe. The reward? A loving, affectionate companion who truly bonds with her person and soaks up attention once she’s relaxed.She does great with other dogs — she currently kennels with two pups and participates in a larger playgroup — but she doesn’t need another dog. What she really wants is one special person to build trust with and call her own.Shy dogs like Scarlett are incredibly special, and watching them blossom is one of the most rewarding experiences there is.
