Meet Darla! At just about 1.5 years old and 50 pounds, Darla is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She’s a soft-hearted girl with soulful eyes and ears that seem to have a personality all their own. Darla enjoys a good romp in the yard and loves her chew toys, but her favorite place is right next to her people. She is truly a velcro dog who absolutely loves her humans—cuddles are her love language, and she’d happily trade a game of fetch for a cozy night on the couch. She’s smart, eager to please, and already house-trained and crate-trained. Darla is also spayed and up to date on vaccinations, making her more than ready for her forever home. Darla has completed her heartworm treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. She’ll be retested in August, but in the meantime, she’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family by her side.Like many young dogs, Darla is still building confidence out in the world. She can get a little excited and nervous in new environments simply because she loves so big—but with continued socialization and guidance, she’s going to shine.
