Skylar is a sweet and stubborn girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for treats! She’s food-motivated, laid back, and happiest when she’s lounging outside on a nice day or playing with her foster brother. Dinner time is her favorite part of the day — she never misses a meal! Skylar is 99% house trained, though she’s had a few accidents here and there, most recently in January. She’s also known to do a little “counter surfing” if something tasty is left within reach, but she doesn’t go out of her way to get into trouble. She can be a bit protective of her things and may guard resources, so she’ll do best with older kids who understand her boundaries. Because of this, she may need a muzzle for vet visits or grooming appointments. Skylar could thrive as an only dog or with a calm male companion who respects her space. Her health has improved — she no longer has daily reverse sneezing episodes and only coughs occasionally, nothing concerning. Skylar is ready to find a patient, loving home that appreciates her quirks and celebrates her sweet, loyal nature.
