Though we don’t know much about her past, a few old scars suggest she hasn’t had the easiest journey. But Janie doesn’t let that hold her back — she greets every person with a wagging tail and a beaming smile, ready to soak up all the love she can get. She spent some time in a short-term foster home, where we learned so much about what makes Janie truly shine. Most notably? Janie is a ranch girl at heart! She thrives in open spaces where she can explore, sniff, and stay close to her people. Indoors, she was well-behaved — sleeping quietly in her crate overnight — but she prefers not to be kenneled during the day. She’s an outdoorsy, loyal companion who wants to be wherever you are. Janie is also: Great with people of all ages, including toddlers (she lovingly laid beside her foster’s 1-year-old niece) Social with other dogs A tennis ball and squeaky toy enthusiast Leash trained and knows all her basics: Sit, Stay, Down, and waiting patiently for her food Smart and food-motivated, she’s more than ready to learn anything else you’d like to teach her — and she’ll do it all with that signature Janie sparkle in her eyes.
