Arlo is 7 years young, 18 lbs. Long haired dachshund mix. He's been ok with other dogs. He can be sensitive in certain areas- he doesn't like baths, having his lower back touched, or being picked up just yet. Be patient with him and he will warm up...don't push him to love you - let him come around in his own time. Toss a yummy treat when greeting him in high upbeat voice and then move on. We don't know his back story - we rescued him from public shelter where he was at risk. He enjoys hanging with three large calm dogs in what we call "Miss Jose's Patio" He has made friends with the Beagle Puppies now...Helen, Andy and Moile (the "o" is silent) and most recently our "house dogs" those who sleep in our home on site. He has become very social with this move. Is now coming up to people and urging us to pet him.
